Micro Book Tutorial

Wanna make tiny books for your itty bitty Little Free Library? That’s what inspired me to make these and now I want to share with you. Here’s the video tutorial.

And here’s the downloadable template!

You’ll need…

  • the printed template

  • thicker watercolor paper

  • scissors

  • glue stick

  • chip clip

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Start by cutting out the books

  2. Leave the little flaps on either side of the cover and fold them (see image).

  3. Fold/crease between all the book pages

  4. Cut a piece of thicker paper to fit the width of the cover

  5. Put some glue on the back of the cover, especially the flaps, and wrap the cover around the thicker paper. Trim off any excess thicker paper at the top or bottom.

  6. Let dry and then fold the front and back covers, leaving the book’s spine flat.

  7. Put glue on the back of each page except for the blank pages and fold.

  8. Glue the back of the second row and attach to the first. Fold.

  9. Glue the stack of papers and insert into the cover. Pinch closed with the chip clip to dry.
