Toy/Trinket Library Workshop - June 14th, 10:30am
Join us to create your very own Toy/Trinket Library! You’ll walk out of the class with a ready-to-paint exchange. Each student will receive pre-cut pieces, hands-on assembly instructions and caulking, plus general tips on having a Toy/Trinket Swap including weatherproofing and installation tips.
The cost of the workshop includes the building supplies, I am not making a profit. If you would like to contribute anything additionally, I will use those funds to create more free installations for the community.
Each exchange will come with all wooden pieces that comprise the structure + caulk used in class + shelves or hooks.
PLEASE NOTE:
We will not be painting Toy/Trinket Swaps in class. I’d be happy to make paint recommendations for you to use when you’ve taken your swap home.
We will be using a power drill and caulk in class, no saws or other power tools.
There will be a standard waiver to sign (check your email after signup).
This class is geared towards adults but mature kids (~8 and up) are welcome to join with an adult. Please get one ticket per Toy/Trinket Library you’re building but let me know at the time of purchase if you are bringing any children.
Lastly please know that while I’m an experienced builder, I am by no means an expert. I have not had formal carpentry training so this class is more of me sharing what I know about building and maintaining spaces like these. There will always be a bit of variation and imperfection in my work.
